Mary A. Galilei, 88, of Monessen, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017, in her home. She was born on March 16, 1929, in Monessen, daughter of the late John and Mary Bartus Sendek. Mary was a lifelong resident of Monessen, a 1947 graduate of Monessen High School, and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. Mary was a seamstress who enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and did volunteer work for many. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Domenic Galilei; her three children, Ronald (Valerie) Galilei, Vicki (Jim) Danoy and Tina (Ken) Treater; seven grandchildren, Lea (Cody) Duffin, Scott Galilei, Kelly Danoy, Katie (Sam) Cook, Nikki Treater, Rosalyn Burger, Raquel (Bob) Gee; great-granddaughter, Stella Duffin; and by nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by eight brothers. Friends will be received 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2017, in DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Services will be held on Friday beginning with a 9:30 a.m. Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church with Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating.
