Norma Mae Hogan, 96, of North Charleroi, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 19, 2017, in Monongahela Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. She was born Oct. 29, 1920, in Galveston, Texas, the daughter of the late Joseph Light and Grace Potthoff Ridling. Norma was a member of First Christian Church in Charleroi. She leaves behind her loving family, a son, George R. Hogan and wife, Sherry of Dunlevy; a daughter, Molly Breckenridge and husband, Larry of Fairhope; 10 grandchildren, Alicia Barefoot and husband, Barry, David Young and wife, Lorraine, Scott Young and wife, Laurie; Rachelle Hernandez and husband, Christopher, Heather Hogan, Kellie Konek, Christian Breckenridge and wife, Alice, Jonathan Breckenridge and wife, Nicole, Marc Sambula and Dr. Patrick Christie, Tracy Bosley and husband, Joe; 15 great-grandchildren, Dakota, Austin, Keegan Barefoot, David Young, Madeline and Annabel Young, Gabrielle Bergstedt, Taylor Bergstedt, Megan McCullough, Nathan McCullough, Cadet Tyler Konek, U.S.A.F. Academy, Cali Konek, Elizabeth Breckenridge, Thomas Breckenridge and Mia Bosley; great-great-grandson, Rowen Dizon. In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Hogan Sr.; her daughter, Suzanne Young Miller; her brother, Hurbert Light; and step-father, Woodrow Ridling. Friends will be received Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in First Christian Church, Walnut Ridge Road, Charleroi, with the Rev. Charles Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in the Monongahela Cemetery.
