Violet S. “Vi” Beeman, 85, formerly of Monessen, died Sunday, July 16, 2017, in Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. She was born in Monessen, on May 1, 1932, the daughter of the late Ralph and Bema Padovani Santell. Vi was a 1950 graduate of Monessen High School and attended Westmoreland Hosptial Nursing School. She worked as a long-distance operator at Bell Telephone in Charleroi for many years and retired in 1999, from The Valley Independent, having worked in the advertising department. She volunteered with many organizations including St. Vincent de Paul at Sacred Heart Church in Jeannette, having served on the Board of Directors, Monessen Ambulance Service as a dispatcher and EMT, and with the Mon Valley Hospital Auxiliary in thier gift shop. She is survived by her children, Michele Beeman of Greensburg, Tami (Tom) McLaughlin of Monessen, Mark (Carlene Vaccaro) Beeman of Monessen; six grandchildren, Rachael Beeman, Matthew Beeman, T.C. McLaughlin, Thea (Joe) Clingenpeel, Kristin Beeman, and Jenna Beeman; a great-grandson, Kemper Clingenpeel; a sister, Eleanor DeLucia of Canonsburg; and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Bernard “Buster” W. Beeman; two sons, infant David and Bernard “Buzzy” W. Beeman; and by two sisters, Emmaline Kerr and Gloria Gallacher. Friends will be received in DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen, from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2017. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Conrad Auel officiating. Entombment will be in Mon Valley Memorial Park Niche, Donora. The family suggests memorials in Mrs. Beemans name be made to Mon Valley EMS, 1001 Donner Ave., Monessen, PA 15062.
