William E. Harper – Monessen

flagWilliam E. Harper, 68, of Monessen, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born Oct. 6, 1948, in Charleroi, a son of the late Donald and Wanita Kidwell Harper. He was a United States Navy Veteran having served during Viet Nam, and was a member of the American Legion No. 945. Bill was Methodist by faith. He worked as an electrician for IBEW Local No. 5. Surviving are his daughters, Ann and husband, David Orum, and Leigh Harper, all of Monessen; his granddaughter, McKenna Harper; sister, Dawn Devore; companion, Bruna Galati; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Colleen Bucci; and two brothers-in-law, Delbert Bucci and Lawrence Devore. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., family owned and operated, 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen, where friends will be welcomed from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8, Monday, July 17, 2017.  The Mid Mon Valley Shipmates will conduct a “Two Bell Ceremony” in the funeral home 7 p.m. Monday. Services will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2017. Interment will follow in the Grandview Cemetery
