Barbara A. Kapty Manko, 79, of Donora, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, in Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born in New Eagle on Oct. 29, 1937, daughter of the late John and Helen (Kucia) Kapty. Barb was a lifelong resident of Donora, a 1956 graduate of Donora High School, and a member of Our Lady of the Valley Church. She had worked at Donora Catholic School as cafeteria manager and later for SPHS Daycare in Donora as a Child Care Aide. Barb loved to cook, bake, and take trips to the casinos. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joseph N. Manko; her son Eric J. (Laura) Manko of Greensburg; two grandchildren, Megan Joyce Amati and Maxwell Manko; two great-grandsons, Nicholas and Richard Mull; two sisters, Mildred “Mitzie” (Donald) White of Tarpon Springs, Fla., Mary Francis Babich of Monongahela; one sister-in-law, Gerry Manko of Monongahela; and by cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia D. (Manko) Talaga; and by three infant sons, Joseph John, Peter Michael, and Dennis Anthony Manko. Friends will be received in DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017. Services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, beginning with a 9:15 a.m. prayer in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Valley Church, with the Rev. Pierre M.
