Addison “Byron” Clingerman, 69, went home to be with the Lord Nov. 7, 2017, after being involved in an automobile crash. He is the son of the late Addison and Jean Baker Clingerman. Byron graduated from Rostraver High School in 1966. He then served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Forrestal during the Vietnam War, and later PAANG 171st Air Refueling Wing during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Through his company, AeroLab, he consulted and advised the aerospace industry as a non-destructive testing Level III inspector, auditor, and instructor. He volunteered his expertise globally in Christian service for Mission Aviation Fellowship and other aviation missions. Byron’s passion was travelling the world, building relationships and sharing stories of his experiences. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Virginia “Ginger” James Clingerman; and their son and daughter-in-law, Byron J and Kristen Clingerman; and granddaughters, Brynn and Kassie; brother and sister-in-law, Lonnie B. and Ellie Clingerman of Buffalo, Wyo.; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral arrangements are being handled by RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, with a viewing from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15. Additional viewing will be 11 to 11:30 a.m. the time of service, Thursday Nov. 16 at the First Christian Church, 115 6th St., Monessen. Interment with military honors will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville.
