Emil DeMarco, 101, formerly of Belle Vernon, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2017, at 11 p.m. at Family Hospice & Palliative Care, Mt. Lebanon. Born Nov. 22, 1915, in Monessen, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Antoinette Zaccagnini DeMarco. Mr. DeMarco was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, was a retired clerk who worked in the Blooming Mill at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel’s Monessen plant for 40 years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy, was a graduate of Monessen High School, Class of 1934, a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 and Belle Vernon & Fayette City Golden Age Assemblies. He is survived by a daughter, Toni and Paul Badzik of Moon Township; three grandchildren, Paul Badzik of Chippewa, Scott Badzik of Loveland, Ohio, and Denise Nutter of Pittsburgh; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Angeline DeMarco DeMarco, on Sept. 17, 2009; two brothers, Frank DeMarco and Richard DeMarco; and a sister, Angeline Bartman. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, followed by funeral services at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Francisco R. Gan Jr., pastor of St. Sebastian R.C. Church, officiating at Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
