Leonard R. Guy, 90, of Belle Vernon, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Washington County Health Center, Washington, Pa. Born Sept. 3, 1927, in Hempfield Township, he was the son of the late William and Anna Armitage Guy. Mr. Guy was a member of Char-Belle Free Methodist Church, North Belle Vernon, was retired from J&L Steel, Vesta 5 Mine, where he worked as a coal miner and was a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Navy. Leonard enjoyed gardening, rabbit hunting and walking his dogs. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard A. and Kathy Guy of Greenock, Kenneth R. and Alberta Guy of Charleroi; two grandchildren, Christopher Guy, Emily Guy; and a sister, Ethel Neil of Daisytown. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores V. Learnard Guy, on Sept. 19, 2013; four brothers, Howard Dale Guy, Andy Guy, Stanley Guy, Ray Guy; and three sisters Wilma, Irene and Margaret.
