Several White Oak Rotary Club members improved mobility for a 100-year-old North Versailles woman.
Until several months ago, Mary Gatto was constantly on the go.
However, she now often requires the use of a wheelchair because of diminished balance and strength.
“She’s not someone that ever sat,” her daughter, Mary Beswick, said. “Up until four months ago, she went out to eat every night and to church as much as she could get there.”
This week, the club built a wheelchair ramp that extends from her front porch to the sidewalk so she can get to a car without fear of falling.
