David L. Reconnu, 84, of Brownsville, formerly of Fallowfield Township, passed away on Friday, Jan. 12, 2018. Born on Feb. 12, 1933, he was the son of the late David and Helen Reconnu. He was a member of the Coal Center Presbyterian Church, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War. He was retired from Rock-Tenn Co., in Charleroi, and formerly worked at International Paper Co. David is survived by his wife, Liesel Reconnu; daughter, Karen Porter, and husband, Bill of Coal Center; brother, Rev. Everett Reconnu and wife, Joan of Camden, S.C.; sister, Paulette Chapman and husband, Roy of Texas; and grandchildren, Kellie Rubbo, and husband, Brian, and Matthew Porter, and wife, Kala. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his daughter, Debbie Reconnu; and sister, Lois Boseman. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 15, at CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director.
