James R. Livi, 97, of Greensburg, formerly of Smithton, passed away peacefully Jan. 7, 2018. He was born in Woodville, Pa., April 24, 1920, and was raised in Fayette City. He was the son of the late Alderio and Mary Dolfi Livi. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Sears in Greensburg as an appliance salesman and was an owner, along with his brother Emil, of Livi’s Bar in Fayette City. He served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific during World War II. He is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Harriet Bosetti Livi, and his brother, Dennis (Sylvia) Livi. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Hospodar and Semina Dohan, and one brother, Emil Livi. Service and interment were private and handled by L. L. BARTHELS FUNERAL HOME INC., Smithton.
