Linda DeZordo Zaph, 73, of Huntersville, N.C., formerly of North Belle Vernon, was called to the Lord on Jan. 12, 2018, from the Levine Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC. Linda was a dedicated servant her entire life. She served her family, her church and the patients that she cared for. Born Feb. 17, 1944, in North Charleroi, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Rose Nudo DeZordo. Linda was a longtime resident of North Belle Vernon, then lived in Hobe Sound, Fla., for 12 years; currently residing in Huntersville, N.C. for the last eight years. She was a former member of St. Sebastian Church and current member of Grace Covenant Church in Cornelius, N.C. She was a member of the Anita Garibaldi Society in Belle Vernon, a graduate of Donora High School and Westmoreland County Community College and was a longtime registered nurse having worked at Havencrest Nursing Center, Jupiter Medical Center Pavilion and Huntersville Oaks Nursing Home. She is survived by her husband, Fred Zaph, to whom she was married 54 years; daughter and son-in-law, Jodi and Dan Huey of Cornelius, N.C.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Aaron and Amy Zaph of Palm City, Fla., Alan and Dawn Zaph of Huntersville, N.C., Brian and Shannon Zaph of Huntersville, N.C.; nine grandchildren, Allison, Grace and Alaina Huey, Alexa and Akayla Zaph, Lauren and Avery Zaph, Brogan and Daisha Zaph. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home followed by funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Francisco R. Gan Jr. pastor as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian Parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Linda Zaph at 3 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
