Glenn E. ‘Bull/Penn’ Davis Sr. – Donora

Glenn E. “Bull/Penn” Davis Sr., of Donora, has made his exit on Nov. 20, 2021, at the age of 57. To many he will be remembered as the ultimate dominant alpha male in sports and in life. He excelled in all sports, but football and weightlifting are where he made his mark. In his youth, he would go onto win many championship trophies starting from his DYAA days as a Donora Dragon and onto his days at Carroll Middle School as a Lancer and finally as a Ringgold Ram, where he ended his career as an all-time leading tackler on the nationally ranked 1983 championship football team. He would then go on to win many trophies in arm wrestling and weightlifting as an adult. Glenny then joined the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, encouraging and leading 10 others to join. Although he did not make a career out of this, he influenced a few others who went on to make a career out of joining, and they appreciate him for doing so. Glenn will always be remembered for his great smile, sensor of humor and being strong as a bull. Even though several knew him to be rough and tough, he truly had a great personality and loved to do prank calls by disguising his voice before caller ID. He will truly be missed by all that knew his true heart. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jacqueline “Bunny” Miller of Donora; father, George “Mimp” Miller of Washington, Pa: and sister, Denise Davis of Donora. He leaves behind long-time companion, Paula Wise of Washington, Pa.: four sons, Keith Winters of Blairsville, Cordero Davis of Donora, Glenn Davis Jr. of Washington, Pa., and Elijah Davis of Monessen; five daughters, Katia (Raymond) Davis of Surprise, Ariz., Daja Parker and Tyone Parker, both of Atlanta, Ga., Searra (Markeese) Reed Davis of Washington Pa., and Briana (Daniel Taylor) Furmanek of Robinson; 25 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; as well as four brothers, Marc Bundy of Atlanta, Ga., John “Koo Koo” Miller of Donora, Brian Bowman of Harrisburg and Danny (Roslynn) Miller of Bridgeville; one sister, Dana Miller of Phoenix, Ariz.; 20 nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and great-nephews; and one great-great-nephew; along with several other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, with a service starting at 6 p.m. at St. Paul Baptist Church, S. McKean Ave., Donora, Pa., with Pastor Rev. Lee Haney and eulogist Bishop Karl Jackson.
