Work set to begin on a bridge connecting Speers and Charleroi has been postponed for a second time.
Construction on the Route 88 bridge on McKean Avenue, which spans Maple Creek, was set to begin Aug. 13 but will now begin Aug. 20.
Originally set to be complete in September, the project has been pushed back until mid-October.
During construction, drivers will be directed to follow a car detour along First Street, Twilight Hollow Road and Interstate 70.
This bridge, known as V-519, is one of 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project throughout the state.
