Patient thanks hospital for life-saving care

Nurses and doctors from UPMC McKeesport’s emergency department and catheterization laboratory got a special surprise Friday when one of their recent patients, who nearly died recently from an emergency heart condition, visited the hospital to thank them for saving his life.
McKeesport resident Paul Glover, a U.S. Navy veteran, was eating shrimp lo mein with his girlfriend when he started having a strange persistent pain in his chest that he thought was indigestion. As the pain worsened, his girlfriend drove him to UPMC McKeesport. A few minutes after arriving at the emergency department, it was clear to medical personnel that Paul was having a heart attack.
