Wall leaves with appeal for legacy

The Wall That Heals traveling Vietnam War memorial left McKeesport Sunday, but the organization that maintains it is asking Mon Valley residents to continue to add to its message.

The memorial is a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. It contains the names of the more than 58,000 Americans who either perished in the war, are considered missing in action or were prisoners of war, and is maintained by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund.
