Monessen pension fund action demanded

Monessen officials have failed to comply with a request made by the Pennsylvania Department of the Auditor General regarding the city’s new pension fund manager, and now the state is demanding action.
A certified letter addressed to Mayor Matt Shorraw, City Administrator Judith Taylor, City Controller Wayne Vlasic and councilmen Gilbert Coles, Anthony Orzechowski and David Feehand was sent to city officials Aug. 15.
