Start of Speers-Charleroi bridge project delayed again

For the third time, the starting date of construction scheduled on a bridge connecting Speers and Charleroi has been postponed.

Construction on the Route 88 bridge on McKean Avenue, that spans Maple Creek, is set to begin Sept. 10. It was originally supposed to begin July 30, but was pushed back to Aug. 13 and then again to Aug. 20.
