Editorial: McCord latest disgraced leader
Make room in jail for another former Pennsylvania official.
Rob McCord, who served as state treasurer from 2009 to 2015, was sentenced Tuesday to 2 1/2 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to two counts of attempted extortion. He admitted to trying to coerce cash from a law firm and a property management firm to help fund his campaign for governor in 2014.
