BVA, police departments cooperate on security

Belle Vernon Area School District is working with Washington Township commissioners to increase security this school year.
Board directors approved a motion last week acknowledging the township’s participation in the state Department of Education Office for Safe Schools’ targeted grant process for the hiring of school resource officers.
