Editorial: Firefighters brave the worst weather

WITH OUR LATE-SUMMER heat wave extending into its third day, health experts are advising area residents to find a place with air conditioning, avoid strenuous activities, wear light clothing and drink plenty of liquids.

While that’s good advice for most people, it’s hard to follow when you’re battling a fire.
