South Allegheny hires high school principal

South Allegheny School Board hired a new high school principal Wednesday.
The board unanimously voted to hire David McDonald at an annual salary of $105,000.
McDonald comes from the Connellsville School District, where he served as acting superintendent for the last 10 months. Before that, he was the assistant to the superintendent and was in charge of curriculum instruction for the last three years. He also worked as an elementary principal and assistant principal at Connellsville and was a teacher for 14 years in Erie.
