A Donora personal care home is set to lose its license after multiple state inspections revealed nearly 90 violations, including alleged patient abuse.
The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services notified Touched by an Angel personal care home, located at 789 McKean Ave., of its plans to revoke the facility’s operating license last week.
“The department’s decision to revoke your license is based on your failure to comply with the department’s regulations and gross incompetence, negligence and misconduct in operating the facility,” a certified letter sent to the home’s administrator, Jennifer Succuro, states.
Succuro could not be reached for comment Wednesday, but a care home representative, identified only as “Nick,” declined to comment on the matter.
“I can’t give out any information and I actually know nothing about that,” he said. “The person you want to talk to is actually out sick.”
“Nick” declined to provide contact information for other Touched By an Angel representatives.
