Monessen OKs emergency demolition

Monessen City Council took steps Friday toward the emergency demolition of a former firemen’s club building, which has been dubbed a nuisance structure.

Councilwoman Lois Thomas and councilmen Dave Feehan and Anthony Orzechowski unanimously voted during a special meeting to advertise seeking requests for proposals to complete the work at 279 Schoonmaker Ave.
