Editorial: Walkers join fight against breast cancer

SATURDAY MORNING wasn’t a great time for a walk, but hundreds of people braved the rainy weather to raise money for a great cause.

The 15th annual Monongahela Valley Hospital/ Lois Orange Ducoeur Breast Cancer Walk took place on McKean and Fallowfield avenues in Charleroi. The event raises money to support early detection and treatment of the disease throughout the Mid-Mon Valley. The day’s most poignant moments took place before the walk began.
