Cougars fall short in WPIAL semis

Eighth-seeded South Side Beaver overwhelmed No. 4 Charleroi with its potent running attack as the Rams posted a 26-21 upset in the WPIAL Class 2A semifinal at Canon-McMillan Friday night.

South Side Beaver (10-3) rolled up 386 rushing yards while advancing to next weekend’s WPIAL title game against Steel Valley.
