Monessen man sentenced in child abuse case

A Monessen man accused of beating and burning his infant son has been sentenced to prison.

David Allen Jackson Jr., 28, appeared for a plea hearing Wednesday before Judge Christopher Feliciani in Westmoreland County Court. He was previously charged with aggravated assault of a victim less than 6 years old and simple assault.
