Washington Twp. fire extinguished quickly; no injuries reported

Washington Township Fire Co. responded to a fire in the 100 block of Leeper Road around 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Fire Chief Edward Karol said when crews arrived on scene, they found an attic fire, which they knocked down quickly.

More than a dozen departments responded, Karol said, because there are few fire hydrants in that area and he wanted to be sure to have enough tankers on hand.
