Elizabeth Township gives gas power plant green light

“Cowards.”

“You should all be shot.”

“Enjoy the lawsuits that are coming your way.”

Those are just three of the outraged comments Elizabeth Township commissioners had screamed at them from the audience as they adjourned a special meeting Thursday that brought Chicago-based Invenergy LLC and its subsidiary company, Allegheny Energy Center, one step closer to building a power plant in the Smithdale section of Elizabeth Township.
