Mark E. Meehan – New Eagle
Mark E. Meehan, 60, of New Eagle, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, at his home. He was born June 9, 1958, in New Eagle, a son of the late Earl “Irish” and Libra Parenti Meehan. Mark was a 1976 graduate of Ringgold High School. He was employed for 10 years as a foreman for Merit Construction in Monongahela until its closing and for the past three years was employed as a construction manager for Somerset Coal International in Warrendale. Many years ago, Mark coached, refereed and umpired for the New Eagle Youth Soccer League. He was a member of the Ironworkers Union and the Hoot Owls Athletic Association in New Eagle. One of Mark’s favorite pastimes was playing golf. He is survived by his wife, Janice Lamp Meehan, with whom he celebrated 39 years of marriage on March 17, 2018; daughter, Virginia “Jenny” Meehan at home; son, Mark Meehan and his wife Jessica of California; and daughter, Regina Meehan and fiancé Jordan Grybel of Monessen. In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his son, Ryan Patrick Meehan, who died July 20, 2015. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela.
