Allegheny County offers amnesty

In an effort to reduce the backlog in failure-to-appear bench warrants, two Allegheny County law enforcement agencies are joining forces.
Together, the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office and Allegheny County Pre-Trial Services are offering an amnesty program for the next two weeks.
The program will offer wanted people the opportunity to appear at the Allegheny County Criminal Courthouse and clear their warrants, as well as schedule new court dates for their active cases.
The county has released a list of more than 450 wanted individuals.
