A precautionary boil-water advisory that has been in effect for residents of Port Vue and McKeesport’s Upper 10th Ward since Tuesday has been lifted.
The Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County made the announcement that “a drinking water problem has been corrected” at 10:55 a.m. Thursday.
“As a customer of Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County, you were notified on Jan. 22 of a problem with our drinking water and were advised to boil water as a precaution,” a notice from MAWC states. “We are pleased to report that the problem has been corrected and that it is no longer necessary to boil water. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
“Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly.”
