The owner of a Mid-Mon Valley-based real estate company that owes thousands of dollars in fines is the subject of dozens of bench warrants alleging a lack of upkeep on several properties in three Washington County municipalities.
A & F Real Estate of Belle Vernon — listed in court documents under several aliases including A & F Real Estate, L.P., A & F Realty, ANF Realistate and ANF Realistate LP — is owned by Debra Hardy of Rostraver Township, the former wife of Joe Hardy, founder of 84 Lumber Co.
The company owes more than $35,000 in fines, according to court records, for unkempt properties it owns in Cokeburg, Bentleyville and Ellsworth.
Bentleyville police Chief Rich Young told WPXI-TV on Friday that there have been nearly 70 bench warrants issued for Hardy, who is listed as “doing business as” A & F Real Estate of Belle Vernon.
