Fallowfield Township supervisors are finally making progress on replacing and repairing the municipal garage and its contents that were damaged by a fire in November.
As of a reorganization meeting earlier this month, supervisors had yet to get in the garage after a Freightliner truck caught on fire Nov. 16.
Although the fire was extinguished quickly, two trucks inside were destroyed and a third truck was damaged.
Supervisors previously said two insurance claims, one for the vehicles and one for the building itself, are likely going to be around $1 million.
About two weeks ago, a joint cause of origin inspection, which included all parties involved, finally took place.
“Since we have met last, the biggest obstacle, the biggest hold up in front of us a month ago, was waiting on the cause of origin inspection,” Chairman Bruce Smith said.
