New Eagle council hears water woes

New Eagle resident Keith Richardson addressed an ongoing water problem at his residence during Tuesday’s council meeting.
Richardson said it has been an issue since he bought his home on Vine Street more than 30 years ago and the problem got worse with last year being the wettest year on record.
“We are getting flooding in our basements, my shed and my yard,” he said. “I had to wear rubber boots to cut my grass in the summer.”
He added that the borough has tried to address the issue in the past by filling the area with topsoil, but that just moved the water.
