Cars crash on restricted road

Two vehicles traveling in opposite directions crashed into each other after colliding with boulders, mud and debris scattered across state Route 906 early Thursday morning.
A portion of the road between Belle Vernon and Fayette City has been shut down since May 15 following a rockslide, and the problem has gotten progressively worse.
In the months since, rocks have continued to fall, creating dangerous conditions for drivers who ignore the road closure.
A second slide has pushed the original slip an additional 80 feet, and after subzero temperatures last week leading into heavy rain, the road became totally impassible.
