The last thing the Frazier boys basketball team wanted to do on senior night in its home finale was get blown out. But after Southmoreland built a 20-5 lead after one quarter, it looked as though the Commodores’ night was going to be a big bust.
Instead, Frazier used the rest of the game to mount a huge rally, which ultimately resulted in a thrilling 61-58 victory over the Scotties in Section 4-AAA.
“It’s always rough and emotional on senior night and we didn’t want to send our seniors out with a loss in their last game on this floor,” Frazier coach Zach Keefer said. “They showed their resiliency.”
When the game started, it was all Southmoreland (12-9, 7-5) as Cade Richter, Riley Comforti, Ronnie Robinson and Brett Glowacki all hit shots to stake the Scotties to a 15-point lead. Richter finished with a team-high 19 points, followed by Comforti with 15 points and Robinson with 11 points.
