A new part-time police officer is joining the department in Forward Township.
Township supervisors voted unanimously to hire Dustin Duvall during Monday’s meeting.
Township chairman Tom DeRosa and supervisor Dave Magiske supported the hire, while supervisor Ron Skrinjorich was absent.
Duvall, 46, was not present Monday, but police chief Travis Stoffer said he is also employed by the Monongahela Police Department. Duvall, who lives in Monongahela and is originally from West Elizabeth, previously worked for Donora and Elizabeth Borough.
