Steeber steps away from Frazier football job

When Mike Steeber took over as Frazier’s football coach, the Commodores’ program was considered pretty much an also-ran.
Under Steeber’s leadership, all of that changed. In nine seasons, Frazier made the playoffs seven times and had a high-water mark of winning the conference title in 2015 and going 11-1, losing to eventual champion Clairton in the WPIAL Class A semifinals.
However, Steeber decided to step away as head coach after nine seasons in order to spend more time with his family, which includes three children.
