White Oak’s condemnation list was once again the main topic at the borough’s council meeting on Monday.
At its August meeting, council gave six people who own homes in the borough six months to fix up their properties and possibly get them removed from the list.
When the six-month extensions were approved, the motion stated that council would consider taking the homes off the list if the homeowners communicated with code enforcement officer Brian Dinkfelt and kept him informed of any improvements made at each property.
Before passing the motion, council also stated that property owners would also need to appear at the February 2019 meeting and present proof that they had either brought their homes up to code or were close to it, and that they had obtained or applied for occupancy permits.
