Penn State Greater Allegheny dancers raise $10K in THON

Penn State Greater Allegheny announced Wednesday night that the McKeesport campus’ THON dance team raised $10,000 to help fight pediatric cancer.
THON is a student-run philanthropy effort that is committed to enhancing the lives of children and families impacted by childhood cancer by providing emotional and financial support, spreading awareness and ensure funding for critical research — all in pursuit of a cure.
From Feb. 15 to 17, Penn State students from across the state descended upon University Park for THON, the largest student-run philanthropy event in the world. THON’s battle cry is “FTK” (For the Kids).
Penn State announced Sunday that THON students from across the state raised $10,621,683.76 during the 46-hour Penn State Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon.
