Area man finds auto repair is better than retirement

Bryan Neason’s retirement didn’t last long. While he brought in sufficient money through rental properties he manages, retirement still bored him.
“I figured, well, I’ll retire, and just see how it goes, and then I didn’t like that too much,” Neason said. “I always liked taking care of customers and talking to people, so I got back in it again.”
Retirement boredom was part of the reason he recently started Bryan’s Auto Service, located at 731 Main St. in Allenport. The small auto repair business is already getting steady traffic.
Neason worked at Valley Tire for decades before his short-lived retirement. Other than working on cars with his dad at age 15, he got his start through vo-tech programs at California Area High School. At 16, he started working at Montgomery Ward, spending about four years there before starting at Valley Tire.
