Hounds run out of gas in semifinal loss

It was an all Monessen semifinal Monday at Peters Township.
But it was the former Greyhound claiming a win over the current bunch.
Tim Tyree, who wore the black and white himself, led his Vincentian Academy team to a 61-49 win over Monessen in a WPIAL Class A semifinal.
With the win, Tyree and the Royals (16-7) will get a chance to defend their WPIAL title Thursday at the Petersen Events Center on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh.
