Some Mon Valley residents remain without power as electric companies work overtime to restore service.
Hundreds of thousands of residents throughout the Pittsburgh region have been dealing with the aftermath of the havoc wreaked since Sunday, when wind gusts reached more than 60 mph.
Although Sunday’s heavy winds began to die down Monday morning, wind speeds were still reaching 30 mph Monday afternoon and trees and wires were still falling.
Crews from Duquesne Light, West Penn Power, Comcast and Verizon are still around the clock to restore power and services to the region.
