Mon Valley Pipeline: Varley earns first career win at Alderson Broaddus

For some, baseball and softball season is near, while for others, it has already arrived.
A number of collegiate players have dug their cleats into the dirt infield, taken their first at-bat of the year and thrown their first pitch.
That includes a pair of local products in freshmen Ryan Varley and Bailey Parshall.
Varley, a Ringgold graduate, is now a pitcher/infielder at Alderson Broaddus University.
