Early Friday morning Monessen police arrested an alleged mid-level drug dealer and recovered three stolen handguns and six bricks of heroin in the process.
According to police, officers from Monessen, Rostraver Township’s K9 unit, the state attorney general’s office and the Pittsburgh Drug Enforcement Agency burst into a Summit Avenue home just after 6 a.m.
The target of the search warrant, Eric Emerson, 30, was home and officers took him into custody along with another resident of the home, Kimberly Jackson, 45.
According to an affidavit of probable cause written by Monessen Officer Jeffrey Smaracheck, once the two were in custody, police searched Emerson’s bedroom, which they identified by finding Emerson’s ID card, a phone bill and a bandanna bearing his name on the wall.
