Carroll Twp. chief receives Friends of Scouting award

A local police chief was honored Monday during the annual Friends of Scouting breakfast.

Carroll Township police Chief Paul Brand received the 2019 Mon Valley Distinguished Citizens Award during the event at Mon Valley Hospital’s Lombardi Convention Center.

Carroll Township solicitor Herman Bigi invited all past winners of the award to gather on stage.

Among that group were Washington County District Attorney Gene Vittone, Washington County Commissioner Larry Maggi and Tony and Barbara Lombardi.
