Donora resident thankful to community for aiding dog

Larry Covino has only lived in Donora a short time, having moved into the community in late November 2018.

But, when you talk to the Boston, Mass., native, he can’t say enough about the kind of folks who live in the borough and surrounding communities.

Those people helped save his dog’s life, he says, and possibly his own.

Covino owns a 20-month-old German shepherd named Sid that he got from people “who had too many dogs and wanted to give Sid a good home to live in.”
