MVI swims against the tide of newspaper decline

The news industry is celebrating the importance of access to public information during the 14th annual Sunshine Week.
The week’s commemoration is led by the American Society of News Editors and the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press.
Sunshine Week focuses attention on access to public information, open government and journalism’s role in promoting transparency.
It’s the role of journalism to make sure public officials conduct business “in the sunshine.”
