What does White Oak have in common with Audubon, Iowa, Goodwater, Ala., and Fossil, Ore.?
According to the lifestyle website, GoodLife, these communities are all “achingly drab.” GoodLife, which was originally created by the editors of Men’s Health Magazine and offers advice on dating, fitness, style and finance, describes itself as “a site for men who want to live life to the fullest!”
In a recent post, GoodLife selected the most boring community in each of the 50 states. White Oak earned the dubious distinction for Pennsylvania.
GoodLife described the municipalities on the list as, “Towns where the average age is higher than the speed limit, where most of the citizens are married (with kids!) and where the number of restaurants and venues can be counted on your fingers.”
